It's either how to cope with partners cheating, or how to prevent them from cheating, or how to catch them cheating.
There are literally several hundred resolved answers on this aspect of relationships alone, and yet you get dozens of questions on similar lines everyday.
What does this tell us of our society?Don't you find the number of questions on cheating partners amazingly large?
That we have forgotten what the word Honor really means.Don't you find the number of questions on cheating partners amazingly large?
Hi there,
It means 50% are unhappy people who are fighting to make things work in their favour. People are not happy with what they have and life is becoming tough. Relations are going down hill.
Things look sad but the hope should never be lost.
Don't let yourself become cynical. Troubled people come here looking for answers so these questions are not indicative of marriages as a whole. You can google surveys on faithfulness and you will discover that the overwhelming percentage of men and women are faithful to their partners.
All the best to you.
It just shows how much people do not care about thier marriage. If I was cheated on I would kick him to the curb or leave. I would not put up with my husband going out giving his body to some skank that would end up pregnant or worse have a std and bring it home. I cannot believe how many women on here say ';What should I do my husband cheated on me'; I just want to get inside the computer and knock some sence into them.
Its widespread-cheating is becoming an obsessive commonplace thing and it scares me.....
It tells me that people care if they are being cheated on or not. Infidelify hurts alot, this is why people ask about it all the time. Might I add, people mean it for any kind of exclusive relationship, not only marriage.
It also means that many couples have issues with trust and communication.
Cheating is older than modern society, so I don't agree that this is an indication that ';there is somethign wrong with this society';. Cheating existed in the times of Roman Empire, only the standards of what was OK were different. Society is an ever-changing entity. Standards are defined and redefined as we live. This is why you get so many questions on cheating.
Another reason why people ask it a lot - cheaters ';forget'; how to be true to themselves. They lie to themselves so effectively they even convince themselves of certain things. They also partly convince their other half. Those who feel they were cheated on often don't want to believe what they see, so they ask too.
It tells us that we need to take a good look at our value system. Money is not going to bring us happiness. It can certainly buy what you want, but it will not guarantee love.
People need to learn that family is more important than an individual's wants. You should put the welfare of your family first - before your own desires.
that no one values marriage or their vows. I'm not shock. what shocks me is the fact that people continue to get married knowing they can't be faithful
don't know...if it's true...probably means temptation is big and people are getting weaker...that's all.
It tells me that the human animal is genetically not predisposed to monogamy.
You left out the option to understand the need of different partners.
Its an epidemic. Completely mind boggling and totally unacceptable.
It telle us our society is on a major daownhill spiral. Morality is at an all time low. Some might believe that the end is near. But hey, I don't want to start the doom and gloom.
It's not surprising to me. Lets be real, monogamy is a joke, whether here or in another country. The only difference is that in other countries, it's accepted as normal, while here in America theres so much taboo around it.
Fact is, most people have multiple partners, be it male or female. It's the way it's always been and always will be.
thats cause this is a american based web site
That more and more people think that cheating is the way to go now days. They are the low life's here as far as I am concerned. They have no respect for their self or their significant other or the on they cheated with. They just want to act like animals. They could care less of who they hurt. They think why not ever body does it, NEWS FLASH...everybody don't cheat!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, I got mad about the cheaters again.
Your question...What does this tell us of our society? Well it tells me it is going to crap!!!!!!!!!
Nothing really..
I don't believe we have a representative cross section of
our society on this forum...
I think since I have been married for 27 years after 25 you should get a ';get out of jail free';. I don't think we were meant to live this long and stay with one person that long.
possibly that you have quite a few people on here jerking chains for the reaction. That is what I think is happening in a big number of the questions because when you think about it - not that many stupid people could possibly be congregating at this single site.
yes it defenitely tell us that we humans are not for one partner. This BS started because of religions.Men and women enjoy the pleasureable excitment of changing partner equally. Most of the people never agree with me because they simply lieing. They wont admit this because of ethics, religion or culture.
I was thinking the same thing. It's disheartening, to say the least. I think we, as a society, have been growing increasingly selfish and weak. It's too hard to do the right thing these days, and the not-so-old saying; ';No good deed goes unpunished'; gets proven true more and more often. Solution? I don't know if there is one. Sadly, I leave it to the next generation. I have four daughters and I try to teach them the golden rule by the example I set. It's not easy, with no immediate reward, and I don't always succeed, but I'm trying very hard. Maybe they can save us all one day. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
It tells me how much marriage has been de-valued in America. It is the bedrock of society, and America will reap what it is sowing by tearing it to shreds.
Tell me about it!
I worry for the kids! Never growing up knowing what love really is all about.
Im glad there is a guy out there that has a good head on his shoulders.
=) Thank you!
We are a throw away society.
To me it says, there are a great deal of people getting married without discussing their values, morals and expectations of what a marriage is all about. And a great deal of couples who are not trusting each other, and a great deal of people cheating. Sad, very sad. God bless****
That..one is not enough!
Cheating is nothing new. You find the number of cases shocking as they are coming to your notice through yahoo.
