He's not giving me anymore time. it's almost as if hes cheating on me and completely ignores me when i talk to him. He puts more time on this game and his job. All of his money are going to WoW each month and we dont spend time together any longer. What should I do! I dont wanna leave him.How to cope with your bf's addiction to World of Warcraft?
You can take an interest in the game, attempt to play with him.
Many women have gotten addicted themselves, and with the fact you can do something together that he enjoys. if it is possible for you to, maybe you can talk to him about taking in one of your hobbies.
Understand, that he put a lot of time into getting where he is, so raids are very important to him
Ask him if it would be possible for him to make sure he goes to every raid, but have time for you. Other than leveling alts, and doing mindless crap in wow. If he would spend that time with you.
He only spends 15 dollars a month on the game, it shouldn't be all his money.
If all else fails, if you hate the game, and refuse to play with him. There is no other choice than to leave. it is a really sad thing, but you would have no choice.
But i really suggest you try and play the game with him, thats if he will play with you, and teach you the game. it could be a fun pastime for you to do together. How to cope with your bf's addiction to World of Warcraft?
You can:
1) Leave him
2) Make a trial account, go on the same server as him, and spam the hell out of him.
3) TALK to him. Tell him WoW is a world of fiction, and his raids can wait. He can always log out and go back into an inn and tell his guild buddies he'll be back once he's done spending time with his GF, because he's probably lucky he has a GF because I'm sure a lot of his guild buddies don't have 'em. LOL
DON'T:
1) Be a jerk by shutting off the computer, screaming, or turning off the monitor while he's playing. That crap will piss him off and make him ignore you more. He'll just log back in and complain to his guild mates.
2) Nag
TELL HIM HE'S JOINING THE LEGION OF BRAINLESS TWITS! The Murlocs can care for his friends until he returns. Or not. LOL
For starters, Eugene you are completely wrong. That will not help at all. Anyway, I was addicted to the game full on for several years and I only just managed to get off it because of pure boredom, I found other games to play that weren't as addicting but just more fun and less time consuming. Try introducing him to Modern Warfare 2.
Well.. have you considered playing? It's obviously something he really likes to do so maybe doing it together will bring you guys closer.
...and I doubt all his money goes to WoW because it only costs $15/month. Find out what he's really spending his money on.
Maybe even get your own hobby?
But if it's really that bad and you don't want to play or he doesn't want you to play with him.. you really don't have much choice but to leave.
I think the addiction is very hard to get rid of. Just let go and stop brooding about his addiction. Find other friends and spend time in a club. Make him feel as if he is missing you and then he will realise. I was like your boy friend. It took me 12 years. Time and maturity plays a big part. Do NOT let your life go by and don't let your boyfriend waste the precious moments of your life.
I no you dont want to leave him but..... him being that addicted to the game is just proving how messed up the relationship will get if it continues. end it before you get to deep in the relationship and get hurt.
From what you said seems like he dosen't care about either way.
Communicate your position to him clearly are seriously, and demand attention. If isn't willing to compromise and strike a deal, that's bad.
When I'm playing video games and I'm ignoring someone, that's how my wife gets my attention.
Tell him it's ok for him to play it BUT he has to limit him self to how much he plays. What's better a girl who loves you, or a fake animated man?
Tell him how lame it is. And also point out the people playing on WoW usually have no lives, lol. Two very crucial points. I dunno, make him feel guilty for it, 'cause he should.
Join in or find something you can be interested in.
NO how about just trowing it out the window or put a password on the computer
tell him its either the game or you and he has to make a choice haha
